questions & answers

are they always made for each other?

There will always be questions that can be easily answered, some that might be a little tough to deal with, while the rest…just couldn’t be solved and forever remain a mystery..

Somtimes, when we try to look for an answer to a question. Are we really looking for something we want to hear? Or are we really looking for something that is still objective, rational, less emotional? and just let the answer speak for itself for the question.

i hate the feeling of having to deal with mysteries sometimes..

then again…must we always know?…and if it is good for us to know….

Yeah..his brand name all in small letters. i have a thing for small letters, so that probably explains the appeal right from the beginning. i like his designs because they are quite minimalist and also some of his choices of materials are very interesting. Good enough to make a simple cut not so simple anymore. i don’t that many of his pieces yet. But growing… 😉

i see snow for the first time on 20th December 2007 (Thursday)!!

It’s almost unbelievable how white it really is. So white that it almost feels like it is bright and glaring. No wonder my friends told me to wear the ski mask, if i intend to try skiing, to “cut the glare”.

i tried to build a snowman too. A small one (about slightly bigger than palm size). Shouldn’t get too ambitious in the freezing cold before i get frozen and become a snowman myself… 😛

Happy Boxing Day…

Plain food? Yeah…i must say it wasn’t great this time round. Ok, i shouldn’t be expecting too much from something in foil or plastic, but hey…my recent trip to japan proves that anything and everything can come in foil and plastic, and still taste good.. 😛 Most people don’t enjoy the food on the plane unless maybe if you are in business class where they just keep feeding you.

i have been taking pictures of all my meals on the plane everytime i get to travel. This is my first time on the Northwest plane (only because everything else was booked out) and so, the first time i see their meals. Their presentation is a little bit hard. Further emphasize the fact that you are having some disposable meals. Maybe it is because of the sharp corners of the tray and plates.

A fair statement: i might just be scrutinizing the food because that marks the end of my holiday. No more ramen.. 😦

My last one before i left today was at Tokyo station at 1 of those buy-your-food-coupon-and-q-up-for-your-seat small and squeezy cafe. It was nice. The soup was really good and rich in taste. Though the texture of the noodles strangely resembles the chinese “you mian”.

… .. . waiting to build a home …. . . .. .

just right after these nicely drawn up cones, there’s a Japanese uncle just pacing around and smoking. Beside him, are more Japanese uncles, who are not squating around waiting to go for some sales or doughnuts..but waiting to ‘build’ their home for the night.

i have walked down this shopping passage a few times, and noticed that as it nears the closing hours of the night, there will be these Uncles (some familiar faces among the group), waiting around.

Later, i saw with my own eyes that, once the shops pull down their shuttles, these Uncles will start ‘constructing’ something with cardboard boxes. These homeless Uncles, were actually building their home for the night.

Somehow it seemed to work on a first come first serve basis system, and of course, the earlier you get there to wait, the better the spot you can get for the night. It is cold now in Japan. i am sure these Uncles all want to get the warmest spot for the chilly night.

i am feeling like the cold winter night in Japan is colder than what it should be..

i finally made it to the very renown Japan island on the 15th of december 2007!!

yeah yeah..i am probably a late comer already as compared to some friends and peers i know..but hey i made it!!
