i can talk about this trip of mine forever…
but i really had many wonderful wonderful moments that until today…
they keep flying by in my mind…

i had a few first times too…
and driving is 1 of them!!..
yipeeeeeeeeeee!!..

yeah..rai taught me how to drive on a manual car..
the suzuki jimmy…

i swear it’s really hard …or maybe i am just poor with my hand & feet coordination…
*ouch*…
and yes…i had to learn in this huge but dark carpark with no lights…

but i managed to get the hang of it after a while..
thought i never quite past gear 2…

and yeah…
he has to lie down in the car after going round & round & round….
and many figure-8s later…

lake beratan…
the 2nd largest lake in bali..
about 1200m above sea level..

temple pura ulun danu by the lake…
is the place in the 50,000 bill of indonesia..

the wind is really chill here..
it’s almost like going up to cameron highlands..
where the air up there is all chilly already..

when the water splashed up on my feet it is a little cool…
just nice to feel the little tingles..

o…k…..i will give you back your fish..
just don’t sneeze on me…

i like the look of mist around the peak of the mountain..

taking a walk to the fields nearby..

you know when it’s really chill when you see strawberries growing well..

want to know what we are really grinning at??..

the sky was really beautiful as its colours changes…
by the time we get down to the bottom of the mountain..
i still get to see the gradient of colours from blue to orange..
the shades in between is just beautiful…

unbelievable…

for my past 6 trips here..
i have never experience rain…
i have never seen durians…

this time…
i got all of the above…
i don’t mind the rain that helps me to sleep in better..
i certainly don’t mind the durians that i am all time crazy about…

so on our drive up to lake beratan..
we just have to stop and get some…
well…i will jump out of the window if rai wasn’t going to stop…hehe..

the funniest thing was that he didn’t realise that the lady selling the durians was his relative!! until he got down the car and start picking & looking at the durians…

the old lady came along with more just when we were leaving..
i certainly wouldn’t mind having more…

he was how it aLL began…

i was certified a diver on the 5th june 2005..
by instructor bruno hopff..

he is my friend today now..
who visits me almost every year..
when he has to do a transit here in singapore on his way back home to zurich…

we caught up for a few hours before his long flight home..
over some skinny pizzas and belgian mussels…
yum yum…

he’s going to visit the annual big dive exhibition happening in germany…
sounds really big that it becomes his yearly pilgrimage..
